Workshop Energy-intensive leisure facilities

The workshop on energy-intensive leisure facilities is a follow-up event to the kick-off meeting in November 2022. At that meeting, participants discussed the common challenges faced by swimming pools and ice rinks in the Görlitz district and formulated initial solutions. The primary focus was on energy supply , business models , and usage concepts .

On February 10, 2023, we want to build on the results of the kick-off meeting together with the leisure facilities and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. 

The workshop is aimed at all municipal or district-owned leisure facilities in the Görlitz district that, due to their type of use, are confronted with increased energy demands, such as ice rinks and swimming pools.

We would like to present possible technology options , discuss the approach to site-specific usage concepts , and jointly develop a possible merger of the leisure facilities .
