Shaping the future - transforming Lusatia!

 Introductory workshop on the application of the methods toolbox for youth participation in structural change 

For teachers, professionals in extracurricular education and other people interested in working with young people!

Structural change is increasingly shaping political debate and our region. Young people, in particular, should see the transformation in Lusatia as offering them a future and a chance to build their lives here. Our experience shows that young people are often poorly informed about current changes and opportunities. In an introductory workshop, we would like to present the application of our methods toolkit so that you can integrate it into your daily work.

Since last year, we have been addressing this deficit with various programs both within and outside of schools. The idea is to combine political education with career orientation. At the same time, we provide young people with opportunities for participation and focus on their lived experiences. In doing so, we create a space for them to engage with their future in Lusatia. 

Based on our experience, we have compiled a toolkit of methods that can be used without extensive prior knowledge. This includes background information on structural change and youth participation, various tips for workshop planning, and methods for sustainable knowledge transfer. The aim is to inform participants about the opportunities for participation associated with structural change and the resulting (career) opportunities.

The introductory workshop will cover the following topics:

•  Entry and previous experiences in knowledge transfer on structural change
• Methods and background knowledge on structural change
• Tips for various formats related to the sustainable transfer of knowledge on the topic of "structural change and youth"
• Methods and background knowledge on design opportunities for young people
• Introduction and structure of the methods box
• Outlook and networking of education stakeholders
