Vacancy management
We have far too many abandoned and unused buildings, whether residential, industrial, or production facilities, especially in rural areas. But that's about to change!
The Structural Change Task Force of the Lower Silesian Upper Lusatia Development Corporation (ENO), represented by Tina Friebe and Anja Nixdorf-Munkwitz, is launching a project in collaboration with the Institute for New Industrial Culture (INIK) in Cottbus. The kick-off event took place at ENO's offices in Görlitz. We thank project manager Antonia Grahlow-Sipeer, architects Anastasia Bastrygina and Kseniia Archakova, and consultant Dr. Lars Scharnholz for their visit to Görlitz.
Within the framework of the "Vacancy Management" project, we will jointly conduct an analysis of current vacancy rates in the district, bring together owners, developers, and enthusiasts, and develop a guide with supporting information and helpful resources for all stakeholders. We will provide intensive support for a pilot project, from the initial concept to a new, economically viable use.
