Lausitz Café: “Founding & Succession” – Perspectives in the Trades
How can traditional craft structures in the Saxon Lusatia region be preserved and developed in a sustainable way?
In cooperation with the SelbstständigLausitz project of the Dresden Chamber of Skilled Crafts, we invite you to the Lausitz Café “Founding and handover – perspectives in skilled crafts” on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 4:30 pm in the Hafenstübchen on the Telux premises in Weißwasser.
The Lausitz Café is an entertaining and interactive event where interested parties, potential founders, small business owners and established entrepreneurs can get to know each other and exchange ideas over "coffee & quark".
Together we want to explore the question of what measures are needed to enable founders and potential successors to enter entrepreneurship as smoothly as possible and to use existing resources sustainably.

Why is it worth participating?
Craftspeople in Lusatia face numerous challenges that often cannot be overcome alone. They need the exchange of experiences as well as individual consultation.
Approximately 31% of those who founded businesses in the 1990s are already 55 years of age or older. This means that succession planning will be a pressing issue for these companies within the next decade. Passing on a business within the family is becoming increasingly rare. Furthermore, the transfer of a business is not always successful on the first attempt. Therefore, significantly more time and effective measures are now required for the successful transfer of a business.
To ensure a successful transition, young people with ideas and a willingness to start their own businesses are needed. Economic development and structural change offer opportunities for career paths in skilled trades in Lusatia.
We look forward to your participation and an active exchange.
Even if you can't be there this time, please feel free to contact us for an individual consultation.
