16. Lausitz Café - Energy and Sustainability "A journey through time in Lusatia"

What can we learn from the past when we talk about the future of Lusatia?

These questions will be addressed at the Lausitz Café on November 6, 2025, at the Kühlhaus Görlitz , an event jointly organized ENO mbH Taskforce for Structural Change in cooperation with the Görlitz district "A Journey Through Time in Lusatia," citizens are invited to engage in conversation in a relaxed atmosphere on the topic of energy and sustainability – regardless of age or prior knowledge.

Table 1: The Past – How it all began.
Scenario:
Traces of the past shape Lusatia. What memories and values ​​do we associate with the region?

• What do you associate with the (energy) past of Lusatia?

• What aspects of that influence us today?

• What can we learn for the energy transition?

Table 2: Present Day – Why is sustainable action sometimes so difficult?
Scenario:
Sustainability often has unexpected side effects. What does this mean for our actions?

Scenario:
Lusatia is changing due to our decisions. What could a sustainable future look like here?

How do you explain complex concepts in a child-friendly way?

This offer is open to all residents of the Görlitz district and is free of charge. Food and drinks will also be provided, so no one has to discuss the event on an empty stomach.
