Energy needs networks: Network meeting on renewables in the Görlitz district

How can the further expansion of renewable energies in the Görlitz district succeed when the grid connection situation is becoming a central challenge in many places? These are precisely the questions at the focus of the Renewables Network Meeting in the Görlitz district.

The presentation will feature current interim results from the " Development of a comprehensive concept for supplying sustainable commercial and industrial areas with regionally generated renewable energy in the Görlitz district ," a study by ENO on the potential for a shared transmission line for large industrial areas in the region. The study addresses the question of how grid capacities can be better pooled in the future, projects connected more efficiently, and new perspectives for sustainable expansion created.

The event is aimed at municipalities, project developers, companies, and other stakeholders in the regional energy transition. In addition to providing expert insights, the meeting primarily offers a platform for exchange, networking, and the initiation of potential partnerships. Participants can present their own projects and ideas in short pitches and discuss them with the other attendees.

The aim is also to incorporate specific projects and the respective network situation from the region into the further development of the concept.
