Shaping the future, strengthening regions

The Taskforce for Structural Change (Tafo) of the Lower Silesian Upper Lusatia Development Corporation (ENO) has been actively supporting the phase-out of coal in Lusatia, and specifically in the Görlitz district, since 2021. It helps municipalities, companies, associations, and other regional stakeholders to successfully manage this profound transformation. For our region, which is among the hardest hit nationwide, this presents not only major challenges but also new opportunities.

sustainability : Our region should remain an energy hub, and the transformation from coal to renewable energies is the overarching goal. The Göritz district is part of the Net Zero Valley. We are developing concepts that combine ecological and economic objectives, for example, in the construction of sustainable industrial parks or in the area of ​​sustainable mobility.

modern infrastructure by promoting the expansion of sustainable transport systems and essential institutions for public services and the economy, and by developing and implementing project ideas. In Lusatia, we are creating a modern, efficient, and livable region.
